Jesus Freaks

 Jesus Freaks is a Christian reality show on YouTube tv that follows best friends Ally Yost and Ashley Hetherington as they step into a new season of life in Los Angeles. What begins as an exciting move quickly becomes a journey of faith, growth, and trust in God. As they chase their dreams in a city full of opportunity and pressure, Ally and Ashley openly navigate friendships, dating, career goals, and the everyday challenges of living out their faith.

     Before launching the show, both women built strong online communities through honest, faith-filled content on social media. Their shared love for Jesus and passion for encouraging others naturally carried over into this series. Rather than presenting a polished or perfect version of faith, Jesus Freaks focuses on authenticity—showing what it looks like to follow God in real life, especially in a culture that often pushes different values.

     At its core, the series highlights what it means to trust God when plans feel uncertain. Los Angeles serves as more than just a backdrop; it represents a place where faith is tested, friendships are stretched, and growth is inevitable. Through both joyful and difficult moments, Ally and Ashley emphasize prayer, obedience, and relying on God’s guidance instead of their own understanding.

     One of the most compelling aspects of the show is the genuine friendship between Ally and Ashley. Their relationship evolves as life changes, reminding viewers that growth sometimes brings tension, but faith can provide stability.      The Chosen

     The Chosen is an American Christian historical drama created by filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It’s the first multi-season TV series to focus on the life and ministry of Jesus, set in first-century Judaea and Galilee. What makes the show unique is how it tells Jesus’ story through the eyes of those who encountered Him—His disciples, religious leaders, Roman officials, and everyday people. Jonathan Roumie stars as Jesus, alongside a large ensemble cast, and five seasons have been released so far, with two more planned.

     Set in first-century Galilee, the first season introduces Jesus as He begins His ministry and calls His first disciples. He invites people from all walks of life to follow Him while performing early miracles, including turning water into wine. The season ends with Jesus traveling through Samaria, where He publicly reveals Himself and launches His ministry.

     Season two expands beyond Galilee as Jesus continues teaching, healing, and calling more followers. As His influence grows, so does opposition. The season builds toward the Sermon on the Mount, showing both the excitement and challenges that come with Jesus’ growing reputation.

     Jesus’ popularity reaches new heights in season three, drawing concern from religious and political leaders. After delivering the Sermon on the Mount, He sends His disciples out on their own to preach and perform miracles. The season concludes with powerful moments, including the feeding of thousands and Jesus walking on water.
     Beginning with the death of John the Baptist, season four focuses on the final year of Jesus’ ministry. Opposition intensifies, and the weight of His mission becomes heavier. After raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus faces growing hostility from religious leaders and begins His journey toward Jerusalem.

     Season five covers the opening events of Holy Week, starting with Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Tensions rise as He challenges religious authority and cleanses the Temple. The season ends with the Last Supper and Jesus’ arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, following Judas’ betrayal

     One of the most remarkable things about The Chosen is how it’s been shared with audiences. The series was originally funded through crowdfunding and has remained free to watch, reaching millions around the world. Over time, new seasons have premiered in theaters before being released on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and others. Future seasons will continue this pattern, with theatrical releases followed by streaming before becoming free to watch again.
